It's always very sad to loose one of our people that devote so much of there time doing what all of us like to do. If any of you that will be at the Service Friday, please pass on to everyone present a kind acknowledgement for the Western Racing Association. It was a hard day at barona speedway. First race with out judy. Dam we miss her. I just don't understand the lost of Mike then Judy. Both great people.

It is with a huge amount of sadness, we inform our racing community of Barona Speedway, we have lost another of our own. Judy Pappas, who so graciously stood in front of the cars going onto the track and waved the flag for the past several seasons, died unexpectedly Sunday night. She will be missed tremendously by all who had contact with her every race night.
There will be a memorial service for our friend Judy Pappas on this coming Friday at 10 a.m. The service will be held ay Humphrey's Mortuary 753 Broadway, Chula Vista. There will be a gathering following the service at the Fleet Reserve in Imperial Beach. Fliers with address and directions to gathering will be available at the service.
